Attendance requirements

The attendance of classes is highly recommended, but not compulsory. Students must be aware that some teachers may establish specific attendance requirement, which they will have to respect.

Working students are invited to contact their teachers at the beginning of each course and agree on particular attendance criteria, when necessary.

Most of first and second year courses at the Faculty of Statistics are organized in lectures and practical lessons (esercitazioni) or laboratories. Students are supposed to gain a theoretical knowledge of each subject, but they are also expected to work on practical exercises under the supervision of their teachers. Very often, students will be practicing and taking part of their final exams in the computer labs.

Incoming students are invited to introduce themselves to the teachers in charge of the courses they are planning to attend.

Teachers will be happy to give Erasmus and other international guests some piece of advice on how to organize their workload.

If students should face any problems related to their student life in Padua, they are invited to report to the Erasmus Faculty coordinators, who will be more than happy to help.
