Bachelor and Master courses

The Faculty of Statistics currently offers three undergraduate courses and a Master course, they all foresee both compulsory and optional modules.

The organization of learning activities in different suggested curricula ensures that the students’ learning progress be consistent and yet allows some flexibility in building each one’s own study plan.

Students are expected to choose modules that best match their own interests and abilities. They may select them from the Faculty course offer or include classes offered by other Faculties within the University of Padua

Each module is assessed individually - possibly by written, oral or practical examination. Final degrees (diploma di laurea) are awarded on the basis of satisfactory results achieved in each module and examination.

At the end of their studies, students are supposed to defend a final thesis or dissertation, which investigates a specific topic, related to the student’s main field of studies. At bachelor level, students are invited to write their final dissertation presenting and discussing a placement experience they are encouraged to undertake with the assistance of the Faculty Intership office.
