Accommodation

The service in charge of accommodation for the University of Padua is S.A.S.S.A.

Since Padova is a university town with a large student population it may be very difficult to find an accommodation once the academic year has started.

Student Residences (both those run by private groups and those run by ESU, the dedicated authority operating at regional level) cannot satisfy all the requests they receive.

Therefore, incoming visitors who wish to receive help from the S.A.S.S.A. Service in finding a place to stay are strongly advised to apply well in advance. Please note that the overall number of single rooms is anyhow quite limited.

The application deadline for the first semester and full academic year is July 15thThe application deadline for the second semester is November 15th.

Successful applicants for Student Residences will receive a confirmation letter accompanied by a copy of the rent contract and the bank details they should refer to in paying the 215.00 Euro caution money.

Detailed information on the reservation procedure for incoming students is available on the web site www.sassa.org. Once an accommodation has been accepted, students will be charged the overall fee foreseen for the period they have booked.

Students asking for help at SASSA will be offered the following accommodation options (each one limited in number):

Student Residences run by ESU;
Private Residences;
Private flats.

The new Accommodation Form 2008/2009 is available in three languages.

Students should fill in the form on line, print it out, sign it, let the Erasmus coordinator or the International Office sign and seal it and send it to:
